Our Roots
Curve Appeal® was founded by Jane Smith, a lifelong fashionista who struggled to find bottoms that fit her curvy frame. Tired of settling for ill-fitting jeans and shorts, Jane set out to create a line catering specifically to shapely women. She teamed up with expert pattern makers and designers to create flattering patterns based on actual curve measurements, rather than resize straight sizes. The result? Jeans, shorts, and pants designed to celebrate – not hide – the natural curvature of a woman’s body.
Jane debuted her first collection in 2010, featuring three denim fits crafted from premium Turkish fabric. The response was immediate and enthusiastic. Women who had difficulty finding well-fitting bottoms that suited their proportions finally had stylish, accessible options created just for them.
Bolstered by the positive response, Jane expanded the collection to include a wider range of fabrics, silhouettes, and sizes. From classic five-pocket jeans to trend-driven paperbag shorts, each new style embraced the beautiful possibilities of the curvy female form.

The fabric of your clothing directly impacts the drape, feel and fit. That’s why we carefully curate high quality fabrics to complement our flattering fits. From premium denim sourced from around the world to luxe stretch sateen, our textiles are carefully considered for both beauty and performance.
Denim
Our denim is sourced from the finest mills in Turkey, Spain, Italy and beyond. We use high quality cotton rich blends featuring LYCRA® spandex fibers to create denim with the perfect amount of flex and recovery. Our fabrics are carefully tested to ensure they maintain their integrity wash after wash. With options ranging from distressed vintage washes to dark dramatic rinses, our denim not only fits flawlessly but looks amazing.
Twill
From chino to utility twill, we craft tailored pants and shorts from rich twill textiles. Our twill fabrics feature a hint of stretch for comfort yet maintain a structured drape. Available in a range of colors from neutrals to brights, our twill bottoms work for both casual days and office attire.
Knits

Our on-site team manages the entire production process from pattern drafting to final inspection. This hands-on approach allows us to implement state of the art techniques while upholding time-honored craftsmanship. The result? Bottoms made to last season after season.
